Suction cups are less secure and take up more space. All suction cups will fail eventually, it's just a matter of time for air to leak into the cavity between the cup and the surface. Extreme temperatures, especially cold, can cause them to fail more often.

The ADDVISOR accessories include a polarization test card. Make sure you remove the protective padding from the tinted visor first and then look at the card through the tinted visor. The kit includes a pivoting cleaning head, an extendable handle, and microfiber cleaning pads — everything you need to clean your windshield inside and out. Just add water or your preferred glass cleaner (not included). The pads are reusable and washable for long-term use.
Answer:
Yes — the 360 Windshield Cleaning Kit is designed to tackle both surfaces. The pivoting head and extendable handle let you reach tight interior corners without straining, and the same tool works on the exterior for a streak-free finish.
Answer:
Absolutely. The extendable handle and 360° rotating head are designed to reach awkward angles throughout the cabin, including rear glass and side windows. It also works well on truck cabs, SUVs, and RVs where interior glass can be especially hard to reach.
Answer:
The microfiber pads are machine washable. Remove them from the cleaning head, wash them separately in cold water without fabric softener (which reduces absorbency), and air dry before reuse. Avoid washing with other heavily soiled items to prevent lint transfer.
Answer:
No special solution is required — the kit works with plain water for routine dust and haze removal. For tougher buildup like film, oils, or nicotine residue on interior glass, any standard automotive glass cleaner will work well with the pads.
Answer:
Interior windshield film — caused by off-gassing from plastics, dust, and humidity — creates dangerous glare, especially at sunrise and sunset. A dirty inner windshield amplifies sun glare and headlight scatter, reducing visibility significantly. Regular cleaning with the 360 Kit helps keep your view clear and your drive safer.
Answer:
For most drivers, a thorough interior windshield clean once a month keeps visibility clear. If you notice a hazy film building up, increased glare at sunrise or sunset, or streaking when headlights hit the glass at night, it's time to clean regardless of how long it's been.
Answer:
Yes. The extendable handle and pivoting head work just as well on rear glass and side windows. The tool is also suitable for RV windows, truck cabs, and even home windows — anywhere a standard cloth is awkward to maneuver.
Answer:
When used with a clean, dry or lightly dampened microfiber pad, the kit produces a streak-free finish. Streaks are most often caused by a dirty or over-saturated pad, or by cleaning in direct sunlight which causes the solution to dry too quickly. Work in the shade when possible and use fresh pads.
Answer:
Absolutely — they complement each other perfectly. The ADDVISOR blocks sun glare while you drive, and the 360 Windshield Cleaning Kit keeps your glass clean so the ADDVISOR can do its job without a hazy windshield amplifying glare. Using both together gives you the clearest, safest view possible.

The LOUNGE-IT 2 features an upgraded gravity-based clamping system that automatically tightens around your phone as you set it in place — no magnetic metal plate required. It still offers the same great vent mounting and eye-level visibility as the original, but with a tool-free, clip-free hold suitable for a wider range of phone sizes and cases.
Answer:
The LOUNGE-IT 2 is compatible with virtually any smartphone, including the latest iPhone and Android models. The gravity-activated arms expand and contract to fit most phone widths, and it works with most protective cases as well.
Answer:
The gravity system uses the natural weight of your phone to activate side arms that grip your device securely. Simply insert your phone from the top and the arms automatically close around it. Remove it with one hand just as easily — no buttons to press.
Answer:
The LOUNGE-IT 2 is designed with an open-back vent clip that minimizes airflow restriction. The clip grips the fins of your car's air vent securely without sealing it off, so you still get comfortable air circulation while your phone stays in place.
Answer:
Yes. Unlike magnetic holders that can interfere with wireless charging coils, the LOUNGE-IT 2's gravity-based cradle does not use magnets on the phone itself. Your phone's Qi or MagSafe wireless charging works normally when the phone is seated in the holder.
Answer:
Yes. The LOUNGE-IT 2 includes a ball-joint or articulating arm that allows 360° rotation, so you can position your phone in portrait mode for maps or landscape mode for dash cam apps. The joint stays firmly in place once set and won't drift on bumpy roads.
Answer:
Yes. The vent clip slides onto a standard air vent fin in seconds and removes just as quickly with no tools, adhesives, or permanent modifications to your car. It's easy to transfer between vehicles if needed.
Answer:
The LOUNGE-IT 2 is designed to fit the vast majority of horizontal and vertical air vent fins found in cars, trucks, and SUVs. If you have unusually narrow or oddly shaped vents, check the product dimensions before ordering. A vent with at least a standard fin gap will work with the clip.
Answer:
The gravity system is specifically designed to handle road vibration and bumps. The side arms apply continuous clamping pressure proportional to the phone's weight, so the holder actually grips tighter under impact rather than releasing. Phones stay secure on rough roads.
Answer:
The LOUNGE-IT 2 is suitable for all standard smartphones. Larger, heavier phones (such as the iPhone Pro Max or Samsung Ultra models) are fully supported. If you use an especially thick or heavy rugged case, confirm the arms open wide enough to accommodate the added bulk.
Answer:
The ADD-SCAPE is a 2-in-1 emergency escape tool designed to help you exit your vehicle quickly in a crisis. It features a hardened window breaker tip to shatter tempered side glass and a concealed razor-edged seatbelt cutter to free yourself from a jammed seatbelt — both essential tools if you're trapped after an accident or in a submerged vehicle.
Answer:
For maximum effectiveness, store the ADD-SCAPE where you can reach it easily from the driver's seat — ideally clipped to your visor, attached to your keychain, or kept in your door pocket or center console. Avoid storing it in the trunk or glove box where it may be inaccessible in an emergency.
Answer:
No. The ADD-SCAPE is designed to break tempered side and rear glass only. Windshields are made from laminated glass (two layers bonded with a plastic interlayer), which is designed to stay intact even under impact. Always use the ADD-SCAPE on a side window, not the front windshield.
Answer:
Press the pointed tip firmly against the corner of a side window (avoid the center, which is the strongest point). For spring-loaded models, the mechanism fires automatically upon contact, shattering the tempered glass instantly. The corner is the weakest point of tempered glass — a firm press is all that is needed.
Answer:
Yes. The ADD-SCAPE is designed with a safety cover or protected blade housing so the seatbelt cutter is not exposed during normal storage. We recommend mounting it on the visor or in a fixed location out of reach of young children, and educating older children about its emergency-only purpose.
Answer:
Yes. The tool is functional underwater. If your car becomes submerged, wait until the pressure equalizes (when water has nearly filled the cabin) before attempting to open the door — or use the ADD-SCAPE to break a side window and escape earlier. Cut your seatbelt first, then break the window.
Answer:
Slide the seatbelt webbing into the recessed cutting slot on the ADD-SCAPE and pull firmly in one motion. The blade is concealed within the housing so it won't accidentally cut you during normal handling, but it slices through standard seatbelt material quickly under firm pressure. Cut the belt before attempting to break a window.
Answer:
The window breaker is designed for tempered glass, which is standard on most side and rear windows. Some newer vehicles (post-2017 in particular) may have laminated side glass. Before relying on any window breaker, check your owner's manual or look for a 'Tempered' marking on the glass edge. If your side windows are laminated, target the rear window or sunroof, which are more likely to still be tempered.
Answer:
Yes. The ADD-SCAPE is equally effective used from outside the vehicle to assist a trapped passenger. Press the window breaker tip firmly against the lower corner of a side window and the tool will shatter the glass, allowing you to reach in and assist.
Answer:
The VisiGrip is a premium magnetic leather clip that attaches to your car's sun visor to hold your sunglasses within easy reach. The magnetic closure secures eyeglasses of virtually any style — from sporty frames to slim wireframes — and it can also hold parking slips, receipts, or valet tickets. Note: do not use it with magnetic cards like credit cards or hotel keys.
Answer:
The VisiGrip clips directly onto the sun visor with no tools or adhesives required. The clip is universal and fits virtually all standard car visors. Installation takes just seconds — simply slide it onto the visor's edge and it stays securely in place.
Answer:
No. The magnetic closure is designed to hold the frames securely without scratching or damaging your lenses or frames. The leather interior lining provides a soft, protective surface for your eyewear. Avoid placing cards with magnetic strips (credit cards, hotel keys) in the VisiGrip, as the magnet may demagnetize them.
Answer:
Yes. The VisiGrip is designed to accommodate a wide range of frame sizes and thicknesses, from slim wireframes to larger, sturdier styles. The extended tab makes it easy to open and close even with bulkier frames, so you can grab your glasses with one hand without looking away from the road.
Answer:
The VisiGrip is available in two color combinations: Saddle & Oyster (a warm brown and cream) and Onyx & Garnet (a bold black and deep red). Both options feature genuine leather for a premium look that complements a variety of car interiors.
Answer:
Yes. The VisiGrip holds any sunglasses regardless of lens type, including polarized, photochromic, and mirrored lenses. For drivers who already use the ADDVISOR Plus — which includes a polarized tinted pane — pairing it with the VisiGrip means your polarized sunglasses are always at hand for use outside the car.
Answer:
No. The interior of the VisiGrip is lined with soft leather that cushions your frames on all sides. The magnetic closure applies even, gentle pressure without pinching or scratching lenses or frames, including coated and mirrored lenses.
Answer:
Yes. The VisiGrip holds any eyeglasses — sunglasses, reading glasses, or prescription frames. It's particularly handy for drivers who switch between prescription glasses and sunglasses frequently, keeping whichever pair isn't in use right within reach.
Answer:
Yes. The VisiGrip clips onto the car's built-in sun visor, separate from the ADDVISOR which mounts to the windshield. The two products don't interfere with each other, and pairing them makes for a very organized setup — sun protection handled by the ADDVISOR and your eyewear stored neatly by the VisiGrip..
Answer:
The VisiGrip clip is designed to fit standard car sun visors across most makes and models. If you have an unusually thin or padded visor, reach out via the contact page and the SmartAdditions team can advise on the best fit before you order.
