Your satisfaction, safety, and driving comfort is very important to us. We’re here to ensure you have the best possible experience with SmartAdditions. 

Damaged Items

When your order arrives, please inspect the carton for any damage that may have occurred during shipment. It is normal for the shipping carton to show some wear. If damage occurs to the item(s) in your shipment (e.g., broken parts, missing pieces, etc.), please notify us at help@SmartAdditions.com within 5 days of receiving. Please provide the order number along with your email address and phone number for fastest service. To assure prompt resolution, please retain the shipping box, packing materials and the damaged items for inspection by the carrier.


30 Day Return Policy

We believe in our product and are confident that you will love them as much as we do. However, if, for any reason, you are not satisfied with our product within 30 days of your initial purchase, please contact us at help@SmartAdditions.com to arrange a return, and we will be happy to refund the purchase amount to your original payment method.
Please note the following conditions of our returns policy:

  • You must return the product and all accessories in the original branded box.
    • If a part has adhesive, like the Mounting Rail or Metal Plate, it is OK if the adhesive is damaged.
    • If parts are missing the return amount may be decreased to account for the missing parts.
  • Refunds are not available on the MC-KIT product alone.
  • Customers are responsible for paying return shipping costs. Shipping costs for returns are not included except when the product is defective.


To help us expedite your return request, please follow these simple steps:

  1. Send us an email at help@SmartAdditions.com to let us know that you wish to return the product.
    1. We need to know if the retail box was opened and if you still have all the accessories.
  2. Be sure to include your Order Number.
  3. We will reply to your email to confirm that we have received your request and to provide an RMA confirmation and return address.
    1. We may ask additional questions if necessary for completing the return
  4. Pack the item in the original box with all accessories and then pack the original box carefully to avoid damage in transit.
  5. Arrange return shipping to the address provided in step 3.
    It is recommended to get tracking for the return shipment. 
  6. We will process a refund to the original payment method within 2 business days after the returned product is received.


Please note: Only products purchased through our on-line store, TheADDVISOR.com, may be returned for refund or exchange.  If you wish to return an item purchased through a retailer, you should attempt to return it at the point of purchase.
